23 January 2025
The Department of Military Veterans (DMV) extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Matric Class of 2024 for their outstanding achievements, which have set a new benchmark for success in South Africa. We wish these learners all the best as their accomplishments pave the way for exciting opportunities in higher education during this academic year.
We also take this opportunity to commend our prospective 2025 graduates who have already submitted their final results for 2024. The DMV wishes them success in their future endeavours, whether they choose to pursue further studies or explore employment opportunities.
The Department remains committed to supporting the aspirations of our youth as they contribute to building a prosperous future for our nation.
The DMV Education Support benefit has officially opened for continuing beneficiaries for the 2025 academic year. Some military veterans and their dependants have submitted the required supporting documents, enabling the department to process their tuition and school fee payments successfully.
Public institutions of higher learning have also provided academic transcripts for students who received support during the 2024 academic year. Students approved to continue with their studies have been granted permission to register for the new academic year without the need to pay registration fees.
Continuing students are encouraged to visit or contact their institution’s financial aid office to confirm their inclusion on the DMV-funded students’ list. Upon registration, a confirmation letter must then be submitted to the DMV for further processing.
The required documents may be sent to TEContinuing2025@dmv.gov.za (for tertiary students) or BEContinuing2025@dmv.gov.za (for Basic Education learners).
Any new information regarding education support benefits provided by the Department will be made public through the DMV’s official website and under the handle @VeteransZA across all social media platforms — .
The Department of Military Veterans is committed to provide benefits to military veterans and their dependents and will continue to service the beneficiaries of this support in the 2025 academic year.
