We wish to honour our fallen comrades

We in unity foe and old enemies stand today united and reconciled, joined by our common bond of being combatants, in an armed struggle, whose scars we are burdened to carry and which we would rather forget.

But we should not forget our past and therefore we wish to pay homage, to give dignity and honour to those of our comrades who fought beside us and paid the ultimate sacrifice of dying for the greater cause.

Although their remains lay scattered in distant lands  on the battlefields of war, they are not forgotten;  many of them gave their yesterday that we may have our today and are able to look forward to our tomorrows.

For whoever has shed his blood with me on the battlefield, shall be my brother (and that is friend and enemy).

We will remember them all, and some day we will meet again,  for we will always be brothers to the end.

We salute you, we salute you our fallen comrades!

Let us all stand, and remove our headrests for a moment of silence in memory of all our fallen comrades.
