The Department of Military Veterans is calling upon all applicants, who applied to be included in the national military veteran’s database of the Department of Military Veterans’ to come forward, to be verified before they can be registered in the military veteran’s database. The process of verification will be done through personal interviews.
The Department will not accept any new applications after the 28 February 2022, and applicants are encouraged to take advantage of this last opportunity for verification. The verification secretariat, will contact applicants to present themselves before the verification committee. This verification process will be held in all nine (9) provinces to accommodate applicants. The exercise has commenced in Gauteng province, to be followed by Eastern Cape and Limpopo. Dates for other provinces will be communicated in due course.
The Department of Military Veterans is in a process of finalizing the verification of applicants on the database, to ensure that there is a credible, reliable, and secured database for the Department of Military Veterans. This is to enable the Department to provide effective, efficient desired services and benefits to military veterans and their dependents.
