Applicable to Current Bursary holders:

• This is applicable to continuing students who received a bursary in 2016.
  

Required Supporting Documentation (Attachments)

1. Completed DMV Higher Education Support Questionnaireand  Bursary agreement  2017 - Form available at the DMV Head Office or through assistance at Provincial Offices.
2. Military Veteran’s identity document/Death certificate if veteran is deceased.
3. Applicant’s identity document/ Birth certificate
4. ID of Parent/Guardian if applicant is not a Military Veteran but applying on behalf of a Military Veteran.
5. Latest Tertiary education Results 2016 ( First Semester Results June/July 2016)
6. DMV Bursary holders: Attach  ALL progress reports  from the time the DMV supported the student on tertiary level.
   • (For Audit purposes)
7. Proof of enrolment, Letter from the institution for 2017.
8. An original and valid Tax Clearance Certificate required for all Private institutions. (To be obtained from the  Tertiary Institution)
9. For continuing students in Private Higher Institutions an invoice for 2017 will be required on or before second week of February 2017.
   • Only invoices accepted
   • No pro forma invoices
   • Quotations or letters indicating fees will be accepted.
10. Only invoices issued directly from the institution with an official stamp will be accepted.
11. NB: Incomplete documents will not be accepted
    • Questionnaires will not be accepted without relevant or required  attachments
12. In case where the institution does not provide the necessary equipment directly to the student, the institution must provide a stamped list of required equipment, to ensure the procured item paid by the department is related to the tuition requirements.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Department covers the following up to a maximum of R72 000.00 per year:

Kindly note: that the maximum bursary pay out inclusive of tuition, books and accommodation at institutions is R72 000.00 per annum, should the cost be below R72000.00 no money will be refunded to bursars.

• Accommodation/Residence fees are not applicable for distant learning students.
• Changing of Institutions will only be considered if students provide Proof of acceptance from the new institution
