The Department of Military Veterans accelerating education support to military veterans and their dependents
The DMV is currently working on increasing education support to military veterans and their dependents at both basic and tertiary levels.
The department revisited the policy on education, and the aim is to provide support to students at public schools and gradually phasing out support for private schools, pending on the ability of a military veteran and their dependent being able to afford the fees that are above the threshold.
Currently the department provides R68 000 for tertiary education and R40 000 for basic education.
The closing date for submission of all application forms is 23 December 2016 at 12:00.
