The Department of Military Veterans will be deploying officials throughout the country as from tomorrow the 29th March, to visit tertiary institutions that are providing education to Military Veterans and their dependents, to ensure that their academic programmes are not negatively affected.

The Department’s officials will interact with the deans of faculties, the NSFAS financial aid officers, as well as the military veterans and their dependants studying in various institutions.

Military veterans and their dependents who are students in these institutions are urged to contact the Department of Military Veterans to find out about these visits.

“The Department calls on all South Africans to assist in making sure that support to students who are military veterans and their dependants, studying in institutions of higher learning  proceed smoothly in pursuit of their academic goals and careers” said Mr Max Ozinsky, Acting Director-General of the Department of Military Veterans.
