The Minister of Human Settlements Lindiwe Sisulu and Deputy Minister of Defence & Military Veterans Kebby Maphatsoe, will on Wednesday, 3 May 2017 host a Military Veterans Dialogue at Birchwood Hotel, Boksburg.
The Dialogue, which will be attended by more than 500 Military Veterans and all associations will be represented. Discussions will be mostly on speeding up of service delivery to Military Veterans human settlement programme, and capacitating the Veterans with economic opportunities in the industry.
There are approximately 5000 Military Veterans in need of decent shelter in South Africa and the programme is designed to improve the housing conditions of Military Veterans, to offer them security of tenure, and contribute towards building an inclusive community with improved economic conditions and social security.
